Hi,
I've done a ton of research on trying to get different default values to show up in each individual row of a repeating table. I know that you can have standard Text that you type in to the default values section show up, but I need this to be based on a formula. Once I set the formula for one field within my repeating table, it automatically sets it for that field for each row I've added.
I found this link on this forum and it almost gets me to where i need to be: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/14016/49888.aspx
If you notice the XML that Jimmy posted on 12-10-09, I see that in his No. column, he has a formula that looks like this: count(preceding-sibling::group2) + 1 or the full XPath of: count(../preceding-sibling::my:group2) + 1
I have no issues bringing up the count function, but I'm not able to properly route the preceding-sibling:: section of the formula. I continually get errors. Any ideas on how to integrate this into my count formula? Just as an FYI, the path to what is the equivalent of "group2" in my form is: /dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/my:SharePointListItem_RW
Thank you!
