Offline InfoPath Access - Secondary Datasource Information

    Hello,

We are currently working with InfoPath 2010 forms that work in a sequence (these forms are based in a InfoPAth Form library on an Office 365 Sharepoint Online platform).  The first form information is entered manually, the second form allows new information to be added manually and also brings over information from previous forms when selecting the ID of the previous forms. This process continues on a number of different forms with various connections to data sources. Note: The information is brought over using Rules on Form Load.

We would like to be able to access all of the information in these forms when offline. At the moment when we try to complete this task when a form opens we have an error stating that the data sources cannot be reached, the form then opens but the information contained in the fields derived from the other sources are then not loaded showing only blank cells.

    1.       Is there a way to bring the information into the forms when it loads but then save it into the form to prevent this problem?

    or

    2.       Would it be possible after loading of this information to copy this information into other cells in the form so that the information would be accessible offline even though not displayed in the original cells?

Also am I right in assuming that if we could do this then the information would be accessible offline? If there is another method which may prove more helpful I am open to suggestions.

    Many Thanks,

    Joe

I'm afraid you will have to use code (or you could try qRules) for this - that is, you could copy the data into the main data source on load so that the users have it when they are offline. If your data structure is flat, you'd be able to get away with just rules - but IP out of the box has no rules that allow you to insert rows to a repeating group, which is where you end up needing a bit of code...
