 I think I know! One minute - let me go look this up.

 Here's a blog post of mine from ages ago, and at the bottom you'll see I mention an issue with my stored proc & that Jimmy had made a suggestion that worked for me. Try setting implicit_transactions to off in your stored proc.

Ok so i do have the auto generated ID column set as my PK because the QFR_Number is going to be repeated. From what I read in your post is the only thing that I need to do in my stored proc is to set implicit_transactions off?

Ok so I got it to insert into the database. YEAH!!!!!! Thank you so much for all of your help with this. One more thing if that is alright. The code that I am using only brings back the first instance of QFR_Number field on the form even when i click the second instance in a repeating section. Is there a way to figure out what "node", or how ever you reference it, is actually clicked? Again thank you so much for your help

 Yup - I noticed that in your code, figured one thing at a time. Where is your code executing - in the context changed event?

Yes I am handling this in the on contextchanged event.

Do you have any thoughts on how to cycle through the nodes when I am using the on_ContextChanged?

 Sorry - didn't see your reply yesterday - I don't use the context changed event much - but you should be able to get the name of the node that has changed - looks like e.Context.Name should get you that. You could run your code based on whether the correct node had changed. e.Context is an XPathNavigator - you should be able to get the value you need from there.

What do you use for a situation like this?

 Oh - I wasn't suggesting alternate approaches - I think the only way you are going to be able to track clicks on a hyperlink control is via the context changed event. I just haven't run into this particular requirement before. There are other cases for using the context changed event - but again, it just isn't something I've had to deal with very often.

Ok so that would work but the node that I need isn't actually the same one that gets clicked. It is in the same group but it is the ID of the hyperlink. Is there a way to get that name without doing SelectSingleNode because that just gets the first instance.

 Well - you are using an absolute XPath which will get the first one, sure. Is the ID for the hyperlink a field inside the group? Use a relative XPath to get what you need - ../ will take you from the ID to the group (if it is a first level child inside the group - sorry, I've got no idea what your data structure looks like) - so you should be able to do something like e.Context.SelectSingleNode("../my:othernodeinthesamegroup", NamespaceManager)

so both the QFR_Number and the hyperlink are in the same group. The number is what I am trying to get when the hyperlink is clicked. So if i use the relative path will I be able to get the number that goes with hyperlink that got clicked?
