Repeating table and rules based labels

I hope this hasn't been answered and I just didn't see it.

I have a repeating table that contains a number of units field, an amount field, and a subtotal field which is, of course number * amount.  A subtotal outside the table aggregates the grand total via a default value of sum(subtotal).  Based on the aggregate total outside the table, I have rules fired off the total amount that populates labels on the form.  For example, if the grand total is > 500, the label reads "Must get Vice President approval".  This all works fine when done in line within the table.

The problem occurs when a row is removed from the table.  It seems the rule doesn't fire, or the default value of the field doesn't update properly.  Any help is always appreciated.

    Thanks.

What are your rules on? The field with the default value that is your aggregate total?

Yes, the field that totals up the totals in the table.  If that makes any sense at all.

And that field has a default value and is outside of the repeating group? The checkbox to recalc when the fields that are used in the default change is selected? If it is on the form and you delete a row, does it update correctly?
