I have a HUGE SharePoint List I'm pulling Data from:

• 22,000 List Items
• ~12 minutes to export to Excel
• 8.5MB Excel file

I am NOT saving a copy of the data in the template.

I am NOT automatically retrieving the data when the form is opened.

I setup a data connection to the list.

I have a button in my InfoPath form that queries the data connection, then populates fields (~10) based on the data in the list.

Works great with the exception of time: ~2 minutes from when I press the button to when the data is populated.  I suspect this is due to all 22,000 records being pulled over everytime I press the button.  How can I get only the required records (2) to be pulled over?  I'm hoping that will improve performance.

Hi - what version of InfoPath are you using? If 2010, SharePoint list connections have query fields available, so you can then run an equivalency query to get what you need. If you need something more complex (like column A is greater than 10 but less than 12) than equivalency or if you are not using 2010, you may want to try DBXL - it has a web service for querying SharePoint that allows you to use complex filtering in your query.

I have a sharepoint list which has close to 25000 records. I want to read this data in a dropdown list using Infopath code behind.

Code behind is not allowing me to fetch more than 5000 records at a time. So kindly help m ein reading this data in batches. This is very urgent and quickest reply will be appreciated.
