    Cascading dropdown in browser form

Hi all, I need your help!! I have a browser form that includes a cascading dropdown reading from a Sp list. All the help I have found is using filters, which are not allowed in browser forms. I need a no-code solution if possible. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance, Gus

I cannot think of a code free way to do this in SharePoint 2007. In SharePoint 2010, filters are allowed, so this scenario is much easier.

If you don't want to write code, qRules has a command that works with an owssvr.dll data connection to add filters to it - the form would still have to be admin deployed in a SharePoint 2007 environment, however.

Sure - you are going to need to use the FilterOwssvr command. Here's a PDF on using the command - let us know if you have any trouble.

Re: Cascading dropdown in browser form

Hi again, Thanks so much for your help. I follow the instructions to the letter but I must be doing something wrong because at the end, the dropdown list does not display any values. My form is almost like the example in the tutorial: I have a dropdown list that displays a list of Categories (From a SP list) and then I have another dropdown with a list of Sub-Categories. I paid attention to the parameter values and verified everything but still no luck. I placed the error node in my form just in case but it doesn't display any error. Everything worked as in the tutorial but still the dropdown is blank. Please advise, Gus EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. THANKS!!!!!
