I understand that the size of file attachments on an InfoPath form hosted by InfoPath Forms Services with SharePoint 2010 is limited by the Maximum size of user session data. When configuring InfoPath Forms Services in the User Sessions section, the default value for Maximum size of user session data is 4096 kilobytes. I also understand that a file attachment can use an additional 50% of this maximum.
If we want to allow adding larger file attachments to an InfoPath form, what are the side effects of increasing this number? Will it have a negative impact on SharePoint performance? Does the SharePoint Server State Service automatically allocate this storage or only if needed?
Thanks in advance.
