Unable to autopopulate title field based on checkbox and drop down list fields

    Hi all,

I have created a form where I would like to trigger the Title field to indicate the type of change on the form based on making a selection of a checkbox or a drop down list. The rule works for the checkbox, however it does not work for the drop down list. The title field is at the bottom of the page and is hidden, so that users cannot see the type of the change. The type of change is necessary, so users in Sharepoint will be able to identify the change and trigger different workflows based on the type of change being requested. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Below is the rule and condition already set for the checkbox:

Run the rule when this condition is true:

CRA Change is equal to TRUE

    Run these actions:

Set a field's value: Title = "CRA Change"

Below is the rule and condition already set for the drop down list:

Run the rule when this condition is true:

Site Address Change is equal to TRUE and

Location Type contains Drug Shipment Address

    Run these actions:

Set a field's value: Title = "Drug Shipment Address"

    Hi Keisha,

As I understand it, you would like the Title field to reflect the type of change requested, based on the selections of either a dropdown list or a checkbox.

I think you would have to change the conditions of each control:

    • Checkbox - Add a condition that checks if the dropdown is blank; if it is, then you can set the Title based on the checkbox's request trigger
    • Dropdown - Vice versa; check to see if the checkbox has been selected

You could also do something like, if the checkbox is checked, disable the dropdown; and if something is selected for the dropdown, disable the checkbox...
