How to Send an email to many user in a repeating table?

    Hello all,

I´m developing a Workflow with SharePointDesigner 2010 and I´m having a problem. The workflow can´t send an email to all the people that I want. It only allows send email to the "first" or the "last" person introduced. I have tried to name that field as a "WorkFlow variable" and then Send the email to the "WorkFlow Variable" but nothing. When I run the Workflow, nothing happens.

If anyone can help me with this problem, please help me out here. Thank you so much!!!

    Hi jricorod.

Are you familiar with the Eval and Concat Functions in InfoPath?

    If you are you should create a new field in the Form (either hidden or on another View) which will Concat all of the Names from the Repeating Table and seperate them with a ;

You would then set the Workflow to email this field and it would work.

If you are not familiar with the Eval and Concat Function you would use something like the formula below as the Default Value for the new field (using the fx button)

    eval(eval(DisplayName, 'concat(., "; ")'), "..")

    Thanks.

    A lot of thanks Tughsol!

Yes, I´m familiar with Concat() and hidden fields but not with Eval().

I´m going to try this way and will tell you if I have any problem. Thanks!!!

I´m having to many problems with the second eval().

I created a new field and a button with rules (to can see what´s doing Infopath when I press the button):

First Rule: Any conditions and Action "Set Value of a Field" (It´s correct?? I use the Spanish version and I don´t know the English name) and I choice my new field and Xpath: concat(DisplayName; ";")

Second Rule: If "new field" doesnt empty, Action ¿"Display value of a Field"? and Xpath: eval("new field"; concat(....))

Third Rule: If "new field" doesnt empty, Action ¿"Display value of a Field"? and Xpath: eval(eval("new field"; concat());"..")

And the problem is in the third rule. There is a problem with the function eval().

I´m sorry but I´m a Mechanical Engineer and my knowlegdes about Xpath and computer programming are very limited.

Finally I could introduce double eval trick function, but the Workflow I designed can´t send an email to all the users. Only send to first one or last one. Neither works if I define the field like MERGE.

Anyone knows where is the trouble?

    Thanks a lot! Regards

    Hi!

Nothing! It seems impossible!!! The workflow I designed don´t send email to all users. Yesterday I read that I have to copy the items of the reapeating table in another list (different to Forms Library), and the there, in the new list, each row of the repeating table will be one item. But I dont know how designed it!!!

Anyone knows?? I installed VisualStudioTools if were necessary.

    Thanks!
