Match Data in Form to List or Library Property

     Hello,

I have a form that will be created when a new Document Set is created. The document set has a name that I wish to display inside the form on Form Load. Is it possible to have a form control display data that matches a property from a SharePoint list or library?

I was able to make a Data Connection to my library but it only gives me the name of the last document set created, not the one that should match the current document set.

    Thanks,

    Rob

I think in order to get the name of the Document Set I need to call a web service to get the itemID of what is essentially the List Item of the Document Set that the form is stored under. I tried invoking the GetListItems web service but it is asking for information I do not understand. Or maybe this is the wrong approach. Please see attached image.

OK, that method was a dead end, but I got closer to what I wanted to do by using a REST connection instead. I used the ListData.svc to call up the document set properties. Now I have access to the ID being used for each document set and can pair it up with the document set name.

But I still need to get the URL of the document set which also has the ID and name embedded. If I can bring in the URL as an assignable value, I can use it to compare the "current URL" with the ID or name value from the ListData service. But I can't find a data service that can grab this. Still looking.

I ended up using a Nintex Workflow with an Update XML action to write the value I wanted into the form.
