How to populate data from sql source without access to sql database

I created Infopath 2007 blank page and inserted a dropdown box. I have external data source as SQL Database and I linked the dropdown with SQL table. I previewed and able to see the popoulated values.

Then I published it network location and my network location is sharepoint document library as test.xsn . In my office, there is another user who has access to that sharepoint document library. When she tries to open the test.xsn from document library, it asks for SQL server and credentials. She does not have acess to SQL Server Database . Is there any way to be able to see or access the drop down withoutout giving her access to SQL Server Database?

    Please help me.

Hi - I think she is going to have to have read rights on the DB. I guess you could try creating an external list that reads from the DB and then give read permissions to that list, and use that SharePoint list instead of the DB - but it seems like it would make more sense to give read rights to the DB.

    Thank you for you reply.

Is it possible to create .udcx file and setup my user name and password for auto login.

Or, would it be helpful to create connection using .udcx to solve this issue.

Yes - you could do that - I'm not crazy about the idea of storing credentials in a UDCX, but it is an option. You could also use SSO with your UDCX.
