Here is one of those questions that gets classified under wierd.

I have a drop down where the choices are populated from a SQL table.

User makes a selection but when they tab off the field, the selection changes.

 So I said lets get rid of the SQL and just manually enter the choices.  Same behavior.

Has anyone ever seens anything like this?

My guess would be some wayward code or rule setting the field's value on change. Have you taken a look in the rule inspector?

Wow - that's nutty. Feel free to attach the form under the Options tab if you'd like - I'd love to take a look at it.

Found the issue but not the solution.

The SQL table has 2 columns - div name and email something like this

Division    Email

A           Bob@xxx

B           Dave@xxxx

C           Bob@xxxx

It seems that since the second column is not unique and I am ordering the results by divsion, IP doesnt know how to handle the lack of uniqueness.

Wierd result.

I think I'd create a view or something that created a unique display name - like C - Bob@xxxx
