Hi,

for my date field in the infopat i am setting the default date to today date using the function today(). but it is setting to previous date.

on some machines it is working fine and some other machine it is not working. i had verified the system date as well.

 does anybody know what could be the reason.

Is this in InfoPath Filler or in the browser? Maybe on the machines that are not working as anticipated, try a form that shows the value of now() - the XML value, not formatted, and see if the result is what you anticipate.

How odd. Everything is in the same time zone?

timezone is same. strange thing is this is working fine on my development environment. at the production server it is behaving like that.

what could be the reason?

everything is in the same timezone. but the strange thing is it is working fine on my development environment and only problem is coming on the production server. hence i verified on the production server timezone and date time setting everything is fine. but the today date is not getting populating.

So - in your initial post, you said the date was incorrect - now you are saying it isn't populating? Can you clarify the issue?

Okay - so on the test server, the date is correct and on the production server, the date is not correct - for all users? for just some users? Sorry, I've not run into this before, just trying to make sure all the details are straight in case someone else has any ideas. :-)
