Getting a 5337 Error on Production Site.

     Hello,

I recently created a very robust InfoPath 2010 Forum with custom code. It currently resides on my Test SharePoint Server, and works perfectly. Well today I decided to do a Backup of the Test Server, and restore my changes on the Production server. After I did that I started to test all my other forms and everything works great. However I get to the one with custom code and now I am getting a 5337 Error. The full error is below:

Business logic failed due to an exception. (User: 0#.w|sxu\bln1, Form Name: SXU Giving Form, IP: , Request: http://MySite/services/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=http://MySite/FormServerTemplates/SXU Giving Form.xsn&SaveLocation=http://MySite/services/SXU Giving Form&ClientInstalled=false&Source=http://MySite/services/SXU%2520Giving%2520Form/Forms/AllItems.aspx&DefaultItemOpen=1, Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:SXU-Giving-Form:-myXSD-2012-12-05T15-45-54, Type: WebException, Exception Message: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.)

Any ideas? If you need any additional info please ask.

The "remote certificate is invalid" is most likely caused because you have not configured SharePoint to trust the certificate chain.   Any SSL data connection used by your forms will need to have been configured in the Manage Trust of SharePoint Central Administration.

Open the url in the browser, and view the certificate chain.  Export the matching root certificate from your test server (it should be under the machine account) and import to the production server.

Ah, Thank you. That is most likely the issue, after digging around I noticed that my test production resides behind a SSL certification, and my Prod doesn't. I will set that up and post back with results.

    Ok, so I am back.

I haven't made any changes to my code for my forum, and now all of a sudden I am getting that stupid 5337 error in my Test Development site!! Not cool Infopath.

There hasn't been any changes to the SSL certs or anything like that. Is there any more detailed Logs that I can open other than the one I posted previously? Maybe something in the IIS?

     Thank You,

Is the error text from the logs any different than before?

Same thing. However I got it working again in Test. Out of frustration I simply did the following:

    1) Deleted the form library
    2) Deactivated the Site Collection Feature (Since it needed to be a Admin approved Temp)
    3) Made sure the recycling bins where empty at all levels, then removed the content type from Root.
    4) Recreated library.
    5) Reuploaded Form
    6) Reactivated it.
    7) Used that custom content type in my library.
    8) It works. :)

I am actually trying this same approach in my Production site. Why I was getting the same error in test... I couldn't tell you. The errors were identical. Whew... Talk about banging my head against a wall....

I will post back with results on prod.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

Still getting same error on the Prod Site. Our network team still hasn't updated the Certs. So still stuck, but I wont know if the error is coming from the Certifications. We shall see come Wednesday.

    Happy New years,

    Brandon
