    Excel > SharePoint > InfoPath

This seems like a ridiculously easy question, but my limited knowledge of SP/IP is probably making it harder than it seems.

I have a weekly data set that I use Access to manipulate and post for monthly manager approval. Right now I"m exporting from Access and posting this in Excel format in a SP Shared Docs and then people email me the changes. For a record set that is almost 4000 records and can vary monthly by +/- 300 records, this is way to manual.

I ideally would like to take these files (natively Excel), do the manipulation I have to do, post them on SharePoint, set up a workflow in SP to notify them of monthly validation via email (this I know how to do), and then have managers have access to an InfoPath form that they can update and view the data in a user-friendly way.

The problem I'm having is that for this to work in a form library (copying records from Excel in datasheet mode), I'd have to have a form created for 4000 records that change every week/month.  Is there any way to make a process like this work?

I'm probably not making much sense, so let me know where I need to clarify. I have a very out-dated background in development, so I might need a little hand holding.

    Thanks in advance!

You may want to take evaluate the Excel to InfoPath tool here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/ExcelToInfoPath.aspx

It can take an Excel workbook, and generate xml files based the template you provide.  For an InfoPath form you would just use the template.xml from the xsn.   A mapping definition you create will determine the how the xml is populated using the row content from the Excel workbook.
