I want to appologize for using you guys as a learning tool again, but you are really good at it, if that is any consolation :)
Here is what i am trying to do, I beleive the best way to describe it is "completely opposite from what infopath is used for."
I would like to make a form this form would be used for tracking items throughout the month. to be more precise it is a quality assurance team. Each month quality assurnce is given 20 employees to monitor. Each employee needs 5 monitors to be performed on them.
I have 11 members on the quality team. each has their own view. There is also a view for the manager.
So what i am dealing with so far is 222 employees, 11 QA personel, 1 QA manager.
each rep has these attributes. they have a supervisor, a manager, 5 different monitors, and 3 other options.
The QA manager should be able to open up their own view and see all of the employees, QA manager should be able to choose a QA mamber from a dropdown list and it would then appear on the QA members personal view, the QA member would then be able to fill in the blanks of the required info as it appears on their personal view.
So this is what i have so far. (and a reason i say is opposite)
I have a sharepoint list set up so that i can enter the raw data (employee supervisor and manager)
I have a repeating table build in infopath.
a data connection pulls the sharepoint list into the repeating table. (employee, supervisor, and manager)
the QA manager would then open the infopath form and see a repeating table with 4 columns (employee, supervisor, manager, and a drop down list with QAmembers names)
the manager would then work through the list to evenly assign employees to QA members.
when the QA members open the infopath form they would then see an almost identicle repeating table with only the data that has been assigned to them.
If a QAmember cannot complete their work during the month then the QAmanager would be able to reassign the employee to another rep by simply changing the dropdown list to reflect the changes.
if a change is made then the new QAmember would see the employee with all of the information that has been done already and they carry on. the old QAmember will no longer see that employees information.
I have created a few different forms in the past so i beleive i can do the functions to figure out the different counts and percentages that i will need for a different view, but i am getting stuck at the begining.
Here is my actual question.
How do i get the repeating table in my infopath form to show ALL of the items in my sharepoint list instead of just the first one???
from here i can create my filters to only show the information needed for each QAmember.
