    Changing field properties

Is there somewhere in InfoPath 2010 where field properties are cached?  Or is there a way to refresh the field properties after a change has been made?  It appears as though my changes to field properties are saved but InfoPath is not recognizing the change when an xml file is used to populate the form.

I have a field called InsureAmount where I originally set the Data Type to Text when it was supposed to be Decimal (double).  I did not discover this mistake until I debugged the form running an xslt (to create the xml) using Visual Studio.  I used xsi:nil within my code for this field and received a schema error that it wasn't valid for my InsuredAmount field.  This was an accurate message as I had mistakenly set the field to a Text data type.

I changed my data type for the field to Decimal and debugged again but am still getting the same error stating  xsi:nil is not valid for InsuredAmount.

The workaround I have is save the form as a different filename and then it works.  There has got to be a way to modify field properties without having to create a new file though.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

What do your versioning settings look like?

Perhaps there's an issue there preventing the upgrade to the latest template.
