Okey, finally solved so that the dropdown shows in the browser and values are populated. Problem now is that I only get the termset and I also want to view child terms. Is this a compability issue for the browser? What else could be wrong? I'm getting no errors what so ever in the error node. I'm working with cascading dropdown list, just so it's taken into account. After selecting a term set in InfoPath I get a new dropdown list to choose childs from but it doesn't work in the browser.

What solved the issue with the dropdown? I'll ask Ernesto to chime in with any thoughts on what may have gone wrong w/ your child terms in the browser.

The powershell script solved it. Had some troubles with getting it right! Is it even possible to make the cascading dropdown directly working in the browser? I looked at the documentation saying GetTermSetIds is not browser compatible.. Is it otherwise possible to for instance create 3 dropdown lists using 3 different connections and GUIDs where a selection in one list leads to a limited number (but correctly mapped) alternatives in the next?

Re: Stuck on an expression in InfoPath

I realise this is an old thread... but it's the only one I found on the forum directly mentioning this walk through "Define Termsets and use qRules to load them into your form". I have two complexities I need to address in relation to this: 1) Multiple MetaData columns ===================== Is there a way to have multiple sets of these cascading controls on one form - for the cases where there are multiple Meta Data fields in the SP list. The GetTermSetIds command that fires upon the QdabraRules (Secondary) finishedLoading event is List specific... but I'll need it to be more specific than that. Perhaps having multiple data connections to the TaxonomyClientService and specifying the termSetIds is the way to go... I'm not sure how the QDabra GetTermSets command operates. Am I on the right track. Is there a document explaining how to accomplish this by any chance. 2) The Cascading Lookups inside a Repeating section ===================================== This should be possible right? I've attempted it but couldn't get it working... yet. If you confirm that it should be possible - I'll definately give it another crack. Regards, Jan

     Hi, Jan:

I spoke to our test lead about your questions.

For the first one - this is something we've not tested or documented. Since the command takes a data source name, it seems likely to work - you may simply want to give it a try.

As to the second question, he referred me to page 20 of this document: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry76371.aspx

Hope this helps - let us know if you need more info.
