Greetings and thank you for taking a moment to read about my dilema

 I have an SP Custom List with several fields one of which is the standard ID Field that SharePoint generates. I have cutomized this list to use Infopath for it's default display, edit and new form. This list is simply a place for my users to come and see availible items.

 I have a form library set up via Infopath that looks very similiar to the my first list (above) what I would like to do is place a link on the first form (mentioned above) that will send the user to the "new form" in the form library HOWEVER I need to pass the ID so that this new form populates the fields with the item they were looking at in the firs list. Can anyone help with this please?

Again basic operation:
1) user looks at first list via an Infopath form....says hey I like that
2) clicks the "request item button"
3) New Form from form library with fields populated via ID

So, the target form - item 3 in your list above - is that a SharePoint list form? You can pass information via a hyperlink with input parameters - your target form will have to have a bit of code (or qRules) to get the parameter values, however. If your target form is in a web part, I think you can use a single input parameter in the query string w/out code.

Not exactly I was hoping to provide a link to the NEW item of a form lib so the form would open with the item selected and all item information prepopulated in the newly opend form.when the user was finished filling out the form from the form lib, submit that form to the lib.
