Referencing Specific View Name in URL - Possible or Pipe Dream?

I have looked all over the place.  There are so many things I have run into that should not be so hard. I have a form with 4 views that is my content type for doc library.  When user selects documents then presses my cewp button, I get selected but cannot specify which view to open the doc in.   All of this because I can't find a print solution where you can specify the view to print - I have stumped several development teams who have a solution "in the works for the next release" but i need it now (sounds like the little girl from Willie Wonka, huh?).

So I am thinking that I can pass a value to a field for selected then within InfoPath set a Form Load rule.  Now if I can only open the stinking view. Then maybe I can do a Print Now and close....  not the cleanest solution but i think it will work.....

    Any suggestions?

The blog where you got that URL is actually using code to retrieve the value of that View parameter and then switch to the indicated view.

As far as I can tell, what you're looking to do isn't available with InfoPath's built-in features, but can be done quite easily with qRules.  Have you used qRules before?  If you're interested in giving it a try, I can give you some simple instructions for how to achieve this functionality.

No, I have not used qRules. I will definetly grab a trial though. I will have a budget in January to purchase tools. With all of the help you guys have given me, I need to purchase anyway. This forum has saved me many times!

Just curious if you were able to find a solution.

I have trying to find a solution to this very issue.  I think if I can pass the variable to and send it to the export routine then we can have that working

I tried a couple things but I don't know how to pass the variable or use the viewinfo variable, just learning so I don't know the syntax and the codes to try

It seems so simple.  use viewinfo collection to store the view names in a variable array.

page is selected and back view is sent to currentview routine plus print the real current view.

Trying to do this without the printing multiple views  involved

Should be simple. they should have a command to print a view other than current.  What if  people that don't want the form view  but the underlying input.
