Infopath refuses to download an updated data connection file

    Hi all,

I have a simple IP 2007 form which submits to a SharePoint document library and is designed to work in Client mode. The form is designed to submit back to SharePoint 2010. The connection file for this connection is stored in a data connection document library on the same site collection, relative to Forms library. The form has been published to a content type. Everything worked well in the initial rounds.

Afterwards I updated the connection file with a new destination Forms library and re-published the template. But, I am surprised to see that each time I try to make a submission, InfoPath stubbornly attempts to connect to the old Form library. I tried clearing the cache using infopath /cache clearall command line option. But, no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks,

    Saurabh

Did you approve the updated connection file?

    Hi Hilary,

The data connection files are all approved. What's strange is that Fiddler has stopped showing any evidence of attempts by InfoPath to reach the file. As if the file was being picked up from the local disk.

    Cheers,
    Saurabh

After a good nights sleep and a strong coffee - I find that my form works fine without the presence of Fiddler. I have another headache with Fiddler which is - constant username-password dialog box when Fiddler is running. If I mistype the username and password then I land into serious issues. Thank you, Saurabh
