    Submitting a form via email

    Hi everyone,

I have an infopath form. I would like two buttons on it. One for
publishing to a file server and another to email to managers.
However, I would like it to be that when the user presses the email
button the completed form gets converted someway to a word document and not an .xml document.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Sarah,

check out code on this link,http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2005/07/09/437087.aspx

Search for ButtonGenerate_OnClick. This button converts the XML Form to a Word Document. It does not have code for sending email, but that topic has been discussed a few times in the forum, you should be able to find it easily.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. Great info but where do I put this code into the Infopath form?

    H Sarah,

The code in the link above was written in c#. You will need to have Visual Studio.net installed.

    1. Create a new blank InfoPath form from Visual Studio .NET, using C#.
    2. Add a Button control
    3. Open the button's properties window by double-clicking on the button
    4. Click on the "Edit Form Code" button
    5. An event handler stub is added to the FormCode.cs file for the button#%92s OnClick event. Add the code to the body of the new method
