I have a form that has a group of 10 check boxes. When the user clicks one of the check boxes, 2 others on the form highlight with an error of only True or False allowed. i have checked all over in the form and also in the manifest. I can't see why my form is doing this. Does anyone have any ideas on this??

Do you see the validation errors before the checkbox is checked? If not then maybe you have a rule or code that sets the value of those other checkboxes when this checkbox is checked.

Do the errors go away when the checkbox is again unchecked?

The error is not on before it is checked but it does go on and then off when I click on various other check boxes. i've looked in the manifest and can not find where there are any rules or validation set up to do this. I've looked at the code behind it also and did not find anything there. Any other ideas I could check into?

Is your checkboxe boolean("true/false") type, if yes probably then probably your node might already have some other text than true/false.

If the field cannot be blank, even then you will see the checkbox highlighted.

One more thing what is the value that is set when you check that checkbox? Is it other than "true/fale or 1/0", if yes you need to change that.

Double click on the checkbox and see what is the value "When Cleared" and "When Checked". Those will be the values that get set when the check box is not cleared and .checked

Thank you for leading me in the right direction. I had the rules set to make sure all the unchecked boxes were set to 0. There were a few of them in there that were set to '"0"' instead of 0 -- probably duplicated from me cutting and pasting. So the value was not boolean -- it gave me the error automatically. Thank you so much for your help!
