Infopath Trust Certificate Expired - Won't update the template

My certificate expired on all the forms I created with signed full trust. I opened the original template, updated it with a new certificate and published it but I am still getting an error saying that the certificate is expired and can't open any of the already submitted forms as well as when I try to create a new form.

I have also put the library in Explorer view, located the template, opened it, added the new certificate, saved it back to the same location and it still isn't working. When I open the template again (directly from the library's explorer view) I can see that it has the new certificate in it but I still get the error when I try to create a new form and when I try to open the existing forms.   In addition, if I go to the relink view, I can verify the path is going to the correct template.  But if I click on that path to open the template it is going to, it gives me the certificate is expired error.  Meanwhile I can go to that path in Explorer view and open up the exact same template.xsn it is mapped to, just fine and can verify it has the current certificate attached to it.

How can I get the library and the existing forms to use the new template with the current certificate?

Please HELP! I need to update a lot of form templates with this as soon as possible!

What version of InfoPath? I am wondering if you have a cached template that is causing the issue - you can remove individual templates from the cache - in IP 2010, open Filler and under File > New, see if it is in your Recently Used Forms - you can right click the template and force it to update, or you can remove the template and then try opening from SharePoint again....

Yes that was exactly it!  Thank you so much.  Such a simple solution to such a big problem when you have hundreds of people using your forms!  I am going to have my network guy find a way to implement the clearing of Infopath Filler's cache in our group policy settings since this will affect so many people.

Caching can be an issue sometimes - so glad that was it this time!

Hi, I got the similar issue. How did you manage, that all users could update the template? Because, it was able to update the template with the new certificate on my PC only. Thank you! Cheers Mario
