Hi,

    I'm sorry you've run into issues. Can you attach a screenshot of the Configure Licenses view of the DBXL administration tool?

    You can attach this via the Options tab.

    Thanks.

    hi Thanks for replying. When i click on below link on the page http://localhost:8000/QdabraWebService//default.htm ,

    DBXL Administration Tool - to manage your DBXL installation.

     It gives me error "Web page can not be found"

    Also when i try to open dbxl dashboard from start-> all programs , it is not opening the new InfoPath form and gives message as

    InfoPath trying to access files and folders on this machine.InfoPath can not grant access to these file and settings because the form template is not fully trusted.For the form to run with full trust, it must be installed or digitally signed with a certificate.

     I am not sure what iis wrong with it.

    thanks

    Thanks for the additional information. It sounds like DBXL just didn't install correctly. I would suggest verifying two places:

    1. Check whether the service is installed and running (not Stopped)

    2. Check the eventvwr, under the Qdabra log, to see if errors ocurred around the time of the DBXL installation.

    It seems like you will eventually need to stop the service, uninstall the product (via Control panel) and then try to reinstall. But, before reinstalling, let's look at that additional information provided by the eventvwr to address whatever caused the installer to fail in the first place.

    Thank you.

    Re: Error with trial version of dbxl client - You have not installed a license to use the ADUserInfo service

    I wanted to tell you that, the IIS was not installed when i installed the DBXL, can that be the reason of failure in installation?

    I checked the it says QDabra DBXL standalone edition status - started , startup type - automatic(delayed) In the event log: there are many errors, I think you are right, the installation was not successful

    Error log A failure occurred configuring full-text support. Re: Error with trial version of dbxl client - You have not installed a license to use the ADUserInfo service

    IIS is not needed for the DBXL Standalone Edition.

    When installing DBXL Client on Windows 7, you might run into an installation failure with an error that reads: "Failure registering DBXL Standalone dashboard. The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. encountered a critical error and needs attention."

    In the eventvwr, you might find a sequence of errors concerning the system document types:

    Error deploying sample 'QdUser' encountered a critical error and needs attention:
    System.Exception: Web method returned error: I0033: Access denied
       at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.ParseResponseForErrors(XmlDocument responseDoc)
       at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.DeployMapping()
       at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.DeployAllSamples()
    The stack trace was: at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.ParseResponseForErrors(XmlDocument responseDoc)
       at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.DeployMapping()
       at Qdabra.Util.SampleDeployer.DeployAllSamples().

    The eventvwr might also have a failure installing the DBXL license:

    Error loading trial license
    Access denied encountered a critical error and needs attention.

    One possible reason for this installation failure is that the Network Service account does not have permission on the %windir%\TEMP folder. Grant it full control and install should succeed. Note that some machines will require a restart after granting these permissions.

    Yes you are right

    I can see all these errors in the log

    I will grant full contrl to TEMP folder now and try reinstalling

    Thanks a ton for your help.

    but I can see that for TEMP folder there is already Full control permission is given for NETWORK SERVICE, Administrator, madhura bhalchnadra godse (thats me).. still the installation is failing. Not sure why... I am going to try installing again. Will keep you posted.

I could successfully installed the DBXL client this time, i think the machine restart was required after giving the Full control, I remember giving it yesterday but i did not restart my machine before starting Installation.

    Thanks again for your qucik replies. madhura
