Secondary data connection hyperlink field not encoded

I am working on an approval process with in SharePoint 2010. I would like to display multiple fields from the origonal form in the approval form so the approver can easily see what they are approving. One of the fields is the attachments the origonator attaches to the inital form. When I add the origoanl list as a secondary data connection and add the attachment field to the approval task form the approver is not able to open the attachments because when clicked the hyperlinks do not automatically encode. What can I do about this?

Hi - so you are using a hyperlink for the control, bound to the field with the link value? Or is just a text field?

Re: Secondary data connection hyperlink field not encoded

So the field was created by SharePoint 2010 list where attachments are enabled. When I look at the fields' properties it is a URI field type with in a repeating section in a repeating table. When I add the field and apply formatting to only show the attachments for the particular list item being approved the field shows as a hyperlink (formatted as blue with an underline). However when I click on the hyperlink to the excel, word, PDF, etc. it opens a browser window with a 404 error because the link has spaces and does not get encoded when the user clicks the hyperlink. Oddly enough the field did work at first, but I received an error about an infinite loop, when I went in and removed some unnecessary actions the links failed. Any help is appreciated.
