InfoPath not showing workflow name in select fields

    Hi,

I have InfoPath 2010 installed on my system. I created a forms library in a SharePoint 2007 site and then created an Approval workflow named Approval_WF.

I then created an InfoPath 2007 form. In this form, I try to create a data connection to the forms library. I specify the sharepoint site address. It takes me to the section where I am asked to select fields. In the fields that are shown, I do not see the name of the workflow that I created on the library.

Almost all articles that I found on the internet say that I should see the workflow name in the fields displayed. Am I missing something here? Do I need to use InfoPath 2007 instead of InfoPath 2010 to design the form? Please let me know how this issue can be fixed.

I have tried to insert the image as below. For some reason, it shows only the placeholder to me.

    Regards,

    Santosh

Hello there.. I am confused by your question perhaps you can clarify a bit.. But from my understanding of what you are trying to say.. I see a few problems.. As much as Sharepoint and Infopath work amazing together.. Your workflow runs from sharepoint. and Your Infopath form is just that a form you submit to sharepoint.. So keep that in mind when designing things especially workflows. 1. In Infopath. when you create a data connection, you are simply linking that form to your sharepoint list.. (take workflows out of the equation for now).. So when you are "selecting" fields you are selecting which fields in your infopath form you want to appear and "connect" to your sharepoint list.. 2.. Are you creating an OOB workflow (the standard 3 step) in sharepoint front end application? Or are you creating one from the wizard in Sharepoint Designer? Once I understand those things perhaps I can help..
