Accessing parent row inside a nested repeating table

I am currently using SP 2010 and Infopath 2010. Here is my case: I have three sharepoint lists and the relationship between them being GrandParent --> Parent --> Child. And the fields GrandParent {ID} = parent {grandParentRefID} Parent {ID } = Child {ParentRefID} In the Infopath form for the grandparent list, I need to show the parent and child records. I am able to get the parent+child records using data connections. The issue is with grouping the parent and child records. I need to filter child records to show like this : GrandParent Record: GPID Parent1 - Child 1 Child 2 Parent2 - Child 3 Child 4 I tried using current() to filter the child records but the current() becomes the value of the innermost repeating table's current row and not the parent current row. I really appreciate any help to group the records as I want. Right now, I get like this: GrandParent Record: GPID Parent1 - Child 1 Child 2 Child 3 Child 4 Parent2 - Child 1 Child 2 Child 3 Child 4
