    Rich Text Box problem

    Hi,

I have a browser-enabled form in a SharePoint document library.  I created a rule in a rich text box making it so that if the box is blank, you cannot submit it until it's filled out.  Here's the problem I'm having:

    1.  User opens the form and fills in all of the fields, one of which is a rich text box, but has a rule in there that makes it required so if the user tries to submit it without filling it in, it won't let him/her.

    2.  If the user goes back to the RTB and deletes what was written in there, the rule that was created for it to be required disappears.

How do I make that rule stay there no matter what??

    Where is the rule located?

I would imagine that the correct way of doing this is to have a conditional formatting on the submit button, to disable or hide the button if the required conditions are not satisfied.

Maybe it's not a rule, it's a Data Validation thing that I added to the rich text box.  How can I get the data validation to stay there no matter what?

    Hi,

Were you able to find a solution?
