InfoPath Dev

Recently, an InfoPath form that we've used and posted to our SharePoint portal was redesigned and a couple fields on the form were configured to post to the portal. We also updated the portal to display these new fields.

The trouble is that all the old forms that have these fields don't automatically post their data to the portal. Only if we open and re-save each form do all the fields data get posted.

Is there a way to force the old forms to post all the data to the portal that the portal is expecting without opening each one?

From what I know,only when a form drops into that form library or when the form gets updated and resaved,the value of the Infopath field gets promoted or appears in the promoted field.
Its got something to do with the event(to promote in SharePoint) getting triggered only when a new form drops into the form lib or when the form gets updated and resaved.
