I am using IP 2007 and submitting to Sharepoint library.
I am looking for ideas on how to accomplish determining when a section is completed. I have 4 sections of a form - a questionnaire. Section 1 & 2 are first to appear. Section 3 & 4 appear when Section 1 & 2 are completed, or rather when SUBMIT button (for section 1 & 2) is clicked. Each section has it's own submit button to advance it's status and determine which section remains to be completed.
The problem is, What if a section 1 is not complete in that all questions are not answered yet-for whatever reason the user would like to come back to it later before submitting it. Obviously they have to SUBMIT it to save it to SharePoint library. Currently their only option is to click SUBMIT, which will indicate that section 1 is complete when in fact it isn't, it is started but not really complete.
What type of indicator or control would you suggest I use to determine the completeness or incompleteness of the section? Maybe it's prudent to not allow submittal of an incomplete form? but even so, how would we know it's complete short of requiring all fields to hold values? I could add a SAVE FOR LATER button and rewire all statuses to include an "interim" status between sections....but is there a better way?
Any brainstorming ideas?
