    Repeating Section Field Check

I need some help in Repeating Sections InfoPath Form.

I have a repeating Section and in the section I have a field named "Decision" as a drop down which has values(Approve, Reject) .

When the end user inserts multiple rows in that section by inserting that section how do I check the values of the field multiple times for whether it is selected as "Approve" or "Reject"

    Below is the scenario

    Rationale: Text Box

    Decision :Drop Down (Approve/Reject)

Second time user inserts that section

    Rational: Text Box

    Decision:Drop Down(Approve/Reject)

I want to check two dropdowns on save button for the values they have selected from the dropdowns

    Thanks whoever helps me!!!

What do you want to check / do with the info? For example, you could get a count of instances of row where decision = Approve, or those that are equal to Reject - is that what you need?

Yes that's what I am looking for.

If one section/row  is visible then  I shld be able to check field "decision" for that one section/row.

If there are two sections/rows visible then I shld be able to check field "decision" for two sections/rows.

    Basically a for loop.

Also how do I check if one row has "Approve" in decision field and other row has "Reject"

I'm sorry, I simply don't understand what you are trying to describe.

The default behavior would be that for each inserted row, the control will behave individually - are you wishing instead to mark all the same?

Perhaps you could attach a sample form or screenshot under the Options tab of a reply that would help us understand what you are trying to do.

    Hi Hilary,

    Attached is a snapshot.

Basically I am looking for a way to validate that if user inserts one row what selection is selected by user( Approve/Reject)

If the user inserts another row how do I check now what selection is selected by user in two rows now(Approve/Reject).

In other words how do I count the number of visible rows on the form and check the selection for two rows in dropdown box.

     Thanks for your help.

I'm attaching a simple sample form with some calculated values that may help you. Save the file locally. Right click on the saved XSN and select Design to open in design mode. From there you can preview to try the form.
