Form won't open after Qrules inject

I injected qrules successfully into a new form. However when I try to open the form I get an error indicating that there are problems in the form definition file. It was opening just fine before I injected qrules

    The error:

The form definition (.xsf) file contains elements, attributes, or structures that are not valid.

    Error details:

The keyref 'grpLinktoFile_10' does not resolve to a key for the Identity Constraint '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/solutionDefinition}xmlToEdit_name_key'.

    Line 395, Position 5

    ----^

Is there any way to fix this?

    Hi-

I'm not sure why qRules would cause this, but I guess I would try removing qRules to see if the error goes away. It is possible that the form was opened in Design mode, closed and then injected and re-opened in Design mode. The same error should've come up if the form had been closed and then Designed immediately (without qRules being injected). A quick Google search reveals this is a pretty common InfoPath issue.

In the User Guide, you'll find a section called "Remove qRules From a Form Template". Try those steps, remove qRules from the template, and let us know whether the issue is resolved or continues. I'm thinking that the issue will still be present. If you would like us to manually fix up your XSN before you reinject, let us know.

    Thanks!

I looked at that already. I am sorry, I can't open the form even in design mode. So I don't think that there is any way to remove qrules.

    Can you attach the template?

Just for reference, here's a thread that discusses fixing this issue in a template.

I followed the instructions in that post you directed me to and was able to quickly resolve the issue. Thanks so much! That is one of those posts that you should set as a sticky at the top of the qrules forum or highlight it somehow.

Well, it was not actually a qRules issue - this is a common InfoPath error. I think it was just a coincidence that it showed up when you injected - as Ernesto said, if you'd closed the form and then tried to open it again in design mode, without injecting with qRules, I believe you would have had the same issue. :-) Glad you got it fixed, tho!
