Editing default data in repeating table - unique for each row?

Using Infopath 2010. I have a repeating table. I am using the "Edit Default Values" box from under the Data tab in an attempt to have three rows in the repeating table show up with different default values in each. In Edit Default Values I click on the repeating table (fields), and select "Add..." Then I select "field 1" in the first set of repeating fields and set the default value. Then I select "field 1" in the next set of repeating fields and the default value is the same as the one above it. Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do without code? Section -Repeating table (group) --Repeating table (fields) ---field 1 ---field 2 ---field 3 Thanks everyone in advance for your assistance.

     Hello, MeganG,

I believe that passing the step-by-step walkthrough

Is there a way to get this to work with a function? If I just type in text for the default value then each row has unique default data, but if I use a function or a field, then all three rows contain the same function/field. Thank you, Megan

This is really written in the first lines of the walkthrough I have given above:

    • "5. Click on the down-arrow key next to the second Module repeating node, and then select Add another Module below"

Choose a control in a repeating table > on ribbon Data tab >  Default values >  choose group node, aggregating fields of repeating table (in my template group2) > right-click > Add another group below (or above) , 3 times )of default values) in your case per each control > choose your data field(s), 3*2 times in your case(field1 and field2 in my template) > in Default value: fx  enter the whatever different values (1, 223, 333 for field2 and aaa, bbb, ccc for field2 in my template) > OK (3*2 times)

    Which code?

    What is the question?
