    Invalid Command Specified

what does this error mean "Invalid Command Specified"?   I have a form with other very similiar filters in it that work.  I created a new filter data connection called ExternalOwssvr.  I have a dropdown field called External_Facility_Name that populates from a SP list data connection and it works great that i assume is where i place the filter rules.    i would like to have the associated fields(Address, City, State,........) populate based on choice of External_Facility_Name.   I follow the pdf and setup 2 rules.

     1.) Rule #1(On External_Facility_Name dropdown) = External_Facility_Name not equal blank ,

    •    (Main Data Source) Set Value = Command
    •    (Secondary Connection: ExternalOwssvr) fx = concat("ExternalOwssvr /dsname=ExternalOwssvr /filter=External_x0020_Facility /value=", .)

     2.) Rule #2(On External_Facility_Name dropdown)

    •    (Main Data Source) Set Value = ExFacilityAddress
    •    (Secondary Connection: ExternalOwssvr ) fx = @ows_External_x0020_Facility_x0020_Ad

i am at a loss for what i am doing wrong as i know i am very close.  i know it is case sensitive, but i am copying and pasting so i dont see where my error is...  Can someone assist me here please?

ExternalOwssvr  is not a qRules command. I'm guessing your rule needs to change to use the correct command name:

     (Secondary Connection: ExternalOwssvr) fx = concat("FilterOwssvr /dsname=ExternalOwssvr /filter=External_x0020_Facility /value=", .)

    Hi,

The error message means that the command name is incorrect. The command is FilterOwssvr, not ExternalOwssvr.

Here is the step by step document. Hope it helps!

thank you both.... before i came back to this site, i re-read the instructions and looked at the Qdabra User Guide and determined that the FilterOwssvr really need to be there.   Again, thank you for your help.

    Have a good day
