Hey Guys,
I have run into a bit of a problem with submitting users to to a multi user column in sharepoint 2010.
Here are the details of the form:
The form is made in Infopath 2010 as a web compatible form. It currently submits itself to a sharepoint document library and then also submit specific pieces of information from it to the sharepoint library through the UpdateListIitems web service using CAML.
The form already submits a user to another column (single user only) successfully, I have a Person Picker in infopath use the user name to query the User Information List site in sharepoint to get the user ID so I can submit with the following syntax : "ID;#Display Name"
However this is a little more difficult when I get to my multi-user submission, I again have a Person Picker (with allow multiple selections option enabled) and my sharepoint column with allow multiple selections enabled. The problem is trying to get each users ID from the User Information List and creating the Syntax that the sharepoint library will accept being submitted multiple users.
I am currently trying the following syntax : "ID;#Display Name;ID;#Display Name;ID;#Display Name"
Can anyone confirm that is correct?
And does anyone have some suggestions on how I can get the user names for each user entered into the person picker in Infopath? Another option I may have is to use a repeating table with individual person pickers but I still need a method to get the User IDs from Sharepoint and the syntax of which to submit it to sharepoint.
If you need clarification on any points or more detail just let me know.
I appreciate any assistance anyone can offer.
Regards,
Campbell
