Legacy 2007 form saved in 2010 and published to SP 2010

Have a lnfoPath 2007 form that was being utilized in SP2007.  Our system was recently upgraded to SP2010 and I was able to open the form without issue.  I had a need to make a change to the form (no changes to the xml structure) which I made in InfoPath 2010 and maintained 2007 compatability mode.  After publishing, I get the following error when opening legacy xml documents.

Getting the following error message "Document was created with the newer version of the form template; do you want to open with current version of the template?
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors."

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Jeff,

I have never seen that error. What I suggest doing is to take the old XSN and the new one and extract the manifest.xsf and compare the version info. You can do this with the XML as well by looking at the top of the file in notepad. If you are using the filler, you can also try just removing the form from your computer's InfoPath "cache" (start InfoPath filler, find the form in the Available Forms dialog and right click and remove it; close all InfoPath forms and retry opening it).

    Good luck!
