I have created an Infopath 2007 form. It has 3 sections; First is for the submission of the form and other two for the reviewing. After the form is submitted, unique ID is generated from the Nintex workflow (2007). Reviewers have read access to the submitted first section but can edit their (second and third) sections. I have created a Submit button using Rules in the infopath form. Now the problem is whenever the reviewers submits the form after reviewing the form, new form is created again and again. Need your suggestions. Thanks

what exactly have you done to resolve your previous similar situation where Ernesto Machado advised you to check that submit data connection:

• does permit  overwriting previous forms?
  "Allow overwrite if file exists" checkbox checked
  
• and
  "File name"" textbox does not contain any functions to vary the name
  

in "data Connection Wizard" windows of submit data connection
(backstage File, on ribbon >  Data > Data Connections > Choose the submit data connection, which is
by default, if you have not changed it, "Sharepoint Library Submit" > Modify... > ...)

How exactly was it different with the current one

And how (after what) was it resurrected again - after adding Nintex?
making the first section read-only for reviewers?

When this happens the first thing I check is the form submit data connection. You want to have a constant field name used for the form title, and not a form title that will change with every submit. If the form title changes with every submit, then you'll get many forms created.

So, for example:

1. add a field called FormName

2. set up a form load rule that only executes when FormName is blank, and set it equal to whatever form name you'd like.

3. set the data connection to submit using this FormName and check the option to overwrite.

This way you're only setting the FormName once (on load when it is first created), and not re-setting it with every submit.
