    Rich Text Box Formatting

    Hi

    I have a form that submit text from from a rich text box to sharepoint. When I go to sharepoint and open the xml file, I can display the form and the rich text. But when I try to create a form to load that text into a rich text box through dataconnection, the text became plain text.

    Can any one tell me how I can keep the text format when I load the text into a rich text box?

    Thank you very much

    Hi wt1024,
    You'll have to use SharePoint list adapter. Get the name of the file to import into your new form and then use a DAV adapter to load the file in to a secondary data source and copy the data over (using rules, import, or code). Hope this helps.

    Hi Patrick

    I don't think I need the sharepoint list adapter, well i don't know how to use it, but I will create dynamic URL for the file I need to retrieve.

    I have done some research on DAV adapter as well as the xml file adapter, but i still couldn't figure out how to load the file into the secondary data source.

    I was trying this, but it is telling me that the object does not support this method.....

    var obj1;
    obj1 = XDocument.DataAdapters("Status Report");
    obj1.FileName="abc.xml";

    and

    var obj1;
    obj1 = XDocument.DataAdapters("Status Report").QueryAdapter;
    obj1.FileName="abc.xml";

    am i doing something wrong?

    Would you mind giving me an example?

    thanks
