Users will not be able to open this form because of the security level it requires

I have been working with an InfoPath 2010 form that is the interface for a SharePoint2010 document library.  I have been modifying - saving - publishing to test without issue.  I then added a row to to table within a section and deleted a differnt row in that same section, which I have done before.  I tried to save and got the following error: "Users will not be able to open this form because of the security level it requires and because of the security level it requires and because no alternative access path has been specified.  To enable users to open this form, click Publish, and then add an an alternative access path in the Publishing Wizard. To save without adding an access path, click"   I have never added an alternative access path for any of my lists or libraries, or forms.  I have also noticed now when I view the form in IE now there are "shadows" behind my buttons...the cell is yellow but there is a large white space behind and above the button.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Hi - the alternate access path is part of the publishing process - at least if you publish to a network location, you have the option of publishing to one location, then providing an alternate path in case users can't access from the original published location. I'm not sure where you are publishing this - I'm not sure what a form used as interface for a document library is - or if you are just publishing to a form library?

At any rate, if the form opens from its published location without an issue, you can probably ignore the warning.

I'd assume the view issue is something different - does it reproduce on other machines? That is, is the issue with your form or your machine? Can you attach a screenshot under the Options tab?

I do publish the InfoPath form to a InfoPath Document Library on the SharePoint server, which I do for all of my forms (plus I add notations for my backup in case i get hit by a bus). This form is a content type for a document library. I am abl to SAVE through the message and then publish. It just seems strange I have not seen this message before now.

As far as the issue with the View:  I had 2 content types associated with the document library. (A user added 50% more requirements to my project on delivery /heavy sigh). 1 form was the original. The other was new utilizing sections in lieu of multiple views. No data was changed.  I think the original forms was corrupt or something.  Once I removed the form everything works properly.  I am attaching a ss to show you what I was seeing.

    Thanks Hilary!

Oh that is just weird, isn't it? The background thing?

I get that message on forms that I've set to full trust and intentionally removed that alternate access path from - so I've seen it before - but really have no insight into what changed in your form that would cause it.

And did you notice where the required field "*" was?  I must have gremlins.

Hah - I knew something was off, but didn't put my finger on it - yeah, something was awry in that view. Some days I think IPFS is purely gremlin-powered.
