Links to the Browser based InfoPath forms are not opening in the browser after adding SharePoint 2010 sites to Local Intranet zone

I had noticed a very strange issue in my environment, in order to make the SharePoint as the home page and pass the windows credentials we had added the sites to the local Intranet zone recently and after these settings I noticed a strange behavior on the browser based infopath forms. We had the links to the forms on the quick launch to open the form directly in browser, but after the above mentioned changes done on the IE (added to local intranet zone), when clicked on the link I am getting a prompt to Save the form. Note: I am able to open the form in the browser when I try to do from the form library and Add new document. Browser is IE9 Do I need to change anything inorder this is work properly Thanks.

What does the link look like? Does it include the OpenIn parameter?

"www.server.com/sites/[site name]/[library name]/Forms/Template.xsn" - This is the link I added to the quick launch navigation and it didn't worked. and I changed the url as below and it started working as usual, but this kind of url has more characters and breaking when added to the Quick launch /sites/[site name]/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?xsmllocation=http://[servername].com/sites/[site name]/[library name]/Forms/Template.xsn&Savelocation=http://[servername].com/sites/[site name]/[library name]/&Source=http://[servername].com/sites/[site name]/[library name]/Forms/Allitems.aspx&Defaultitemopen=1

You may be able to simplify it a bit. For example, I think you could use relative paths instead of full paths for the XSN location (by the way, it looks like you have a typo there?), the Save location and the Source.

Yes, I did used the relative URL for source and save location, and I changed all my URL's but I was wondering why this is behaving so?

Well, I guess it surprises me that it ever behaved any differently - I'd assume you'd need the OpenIn parameter to get the form to open in the browser from a link on a machine with InfoPath installed. However, perhaps one of the security settings in IE that is different between local intranet and internet was forcing it to open in the browser before - you could always compare the security settings between the two zones.

This sounds to me as if the form template is being republished what is rather natural after changing its security access configuration. Have you tried to re-publish the form template from Infopath Designer 2010?

Anyway, please share here how it all ended up

    Update:

Also note that for me the browser forms are opening in browser if launched from Mozilla Firefox and Infopath Filler if launched from Internet Explorer.
I've read somewhere om the internet how configure it for Internet Explorer but I am lazy to search. I am just using Mozilla Firefox if I need to launch browser forms (in browser)

Then, it is very comfortable since I do not need to attribute full trust and approve forms to launch them in Infopath Filler (from sharepoint server). This, administrator approval, is simply not available for me in Office 365 (Sharepoint Online)

Microsoft is shooting itself in the foot and I am missing to shoot me to my leg

    Thanks all for the replies. I updated the URL's with defaultitemopen=1 (as below)and it worked as expected /sites/[site name]/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?xsmllocation=/sites/[site name]/[library name]/Forms/Template.xsn&Savelocation=/sites/[site name]/[library name]/&Source=/sites/[site name]/[library name]/Forms/Allitems.aspx&Defaultitemopen=1
