having multiple checkboxes but allowing only a single selection

Hi all, As stated in the title i have created a form with multiple checkboxes, but want to allow users to only select one of them. I know using radio buttons would be recommended for this feature, however i am forced to use checkboxes (please don't ask me why). Can anyone tell me i'f this is even possible and if so, in what direction i should search.

Create on each checkbox a rule that on its checking all other checkbox fields set to blank
(the number oа actions is the amount of checkboxes less 1)

For example for checkbox Ch1, having 2 more checkboxes Ch2 and Ch33

"Add Rule" (pressing such button on ribbon) --> "Is Checked" ---> "Set field's value":

    • Action: Set a field's value
    • Field: Ch2
    • Value: "not set" aka blank aka nothing aka "not filled"

Again, as above, in "Rules" pane ("Manage Rules" on tibbon) on the right of the "Run these actions:"
press button "Add"--> "Set a fields value"

    • Action: Set a field's value
    • Field: Ch2
    • Value: "not set" aka blank aka nothing aka "not filled"

Repeat the same for the rest of checkboxes with corresponding adjustments of clearing other (but  not itself) checkboxes
