Looking for suggestions regarding IP promoted properties issue

    Hi all,

In my MOSS 2007 environment, I have successfully uploaded an InfoPath 2007 form (designed using IP 2010) to central admin and have a content type that for the most part works fine. However, I notice that I am unable to hide 6 of the 50 columns in the content type and was wondering if anyone had advice on what to do to resolve this matter. Each InfoPath field/property is promoted identically and has the check box for allowing users to edit data in a datasheet turned on which I need for the back-end updates I plan to do via a SPD workflow which is also impacted by this issue as those same columns are not available for update by the workflow.

I think the end game is that I will need to (again) delete the items and libraries that subscribe to this content type, deactivate the collection feature, remove the form from central admin and then re-create the libraries and re-publish the form, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that exercise again. Additionally, I verified that the GUIDs of the content type columns do indeed match the GUIDs of the promoted properties in the form's manifest.xsf, so it does not appear to be the "duplicate columns" issue.

As always, I appreciate any feedback I get from the InfoPath experts on this forum. Thanks!

I'm not sure I understand. You've got a content type that maps to site columns which you want to hide? Hide from where? The view?

    Patrick,

I was trying to hide the columns from the list forms. Apologies for not updating the thread but I ended up deactivating/removing the form/feature and then delete and rebuild the library after which the columns were operating properly. Thanks again.
