    Get current date from sharepoint

    Hi,

i need to get current date (server side) from sharepoint list to display it in infopath.

I have tried using calculated column.

tried date time column with =Now() value. nothing works.

Is there any way to achieve this?

    Regards

Now() should work.  What about that function isn't working for you?  Have you tried using the today() function?

Remember that now() returns a date/time and today() returns a date only, so make sure you're using the right function for the right data type.

     Hi ,

I am looking for the same thing. Did you manage to get the date into a form? Using now() and today() in infopath gives the client date not the servers.

Re: Get current date from sharepoint

I have a SharePoint list which is populated by an MS Access front end. There is a date field called DateofReivew, with the type "Date and Time". When I first put it into production, the users entered reviews and the current date/time was populated. Recently I was testing a new front end form and found the date was left blank. The value of the field was no longer set to Today. Therefore, I modified the field and set the Default Value to Today. (Menu option) That only picked up the date and not the time. (i.e. 12:00 AM) When I select Calculated Value and enter the formula =NOW(), it returns the following error: "The formula contains a syntax error or is not supported." Can you help?
