Stuck in the middle of designing a form so KINDA URGENT PLEASE

1. I need to add some dummy fields to a form but I dont want those fields to be added to the SP List.

2. According to this guy http://www.bizsupportonline.net/blog/2008/11/how-to-create-a-hidden-field-in-infopath/ (Bullet # 1). It's done at time time of Infopath installation.

Please suggest.

The comment on that page has nothing to do with InfoPath installation. She is saying that with the default settings, dragging a textbox onto the form automatically creates a field.

Are you creating a list-based form, or a form with a free data source?

The only fields that infopath adds to Sharepoint list are the fields that you Promote, if you don't want them in sharepoint, remove them from File, Advanced Options, property promotion

You could create an XML file with the helper fields you need and add a secondary data connection to it.

I click on the File Menu >  Form Options > Advanced form Options and I dont see "property promotion".
