    DeleteFromSharePoint error

I am using the SaveToSharePoint command to save files to the site.  That is working fine.  I then tried to use DeleteFromSharePoint using the filename URL created during the save.  When I do that I receive the following error:

Action: DeleteFromSharePoint. Arguments: url: https://cclhomes2.sharepoint.com/aspenlakes/OTP Attachments/1 Adina Close/1 Adina Close - Offer to Purchase.pdf . Details: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.. Stack: at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.DeleteFromSharePoint_Client(String url) at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.DeleteFromSharePoint() at Qdabra.Tools.RulesLibrary.Commands.ExecuteCommand()

Any thoughts on how to fix or what I am doing wrong?  The command is simple, concat("DeleteFromSharePoint /url=", DL1) where DL1 is the URL created when running the SaveToSharePoint command.

     Thanks,

Oh, interesting. I'm assuming you have permissions to delete from the library? What happens if you use the qRulesLink attribute in your delete command, instead of DL1? Or are you setting DL1 to the value of qRulesLink? Is the URL in the error the correct URL to your file?

The permissions are OK. I basically copy the qRulesLink URL to the DL1 field, and then reference that field when trying to delete. I will try deleting on the original qRules attribute to see if that helps.

I did edit the formula to refer to the actual qRules attribute, but I am receiving the same error. Clicking on DL1 does load the file, so the URL is correct. Anything else I can try?

    Hi there-

I'm not sure what would be going on, but to troubleshoot I would try two things:

    1. Add a document to that library manually (not using qRules) and then try to delete that document using the qRules command.

    2. Add a document to that library using qRules, and then try to delete that same document manually (without using qRules).

Let me know how that goes. Thanks!

I have a few more questions as well - are you trying this in Filler or in the Browser (or both)?

What does your SaveToSharePoint command look like?

What version of qRules are you using?

    Thanks so much!

I added a document manually and am still getting the error when trying to delete using qRules.

When I add an item using qRules I am able to delete the document if I go through SP, select the file, and delete.

I am using this in Filler.  My command for setting a value of the field is:

    concat("DeleteFromSharePoint /url=", @qRulesLink)

    I am using version 4.1.4458.20889

Thanks, but what about your initial save command? Just using the /url and /xpath parameters?

    My initial save command is: concat("SaveToSharePoint /url=https://cclhomes2.sharepoint.com/aspenlakes/OTP Attachments/", LotAddress, " /xpath=/my:myFields/my:Attachments/my:Attachment /dsnamews=CopyIntoItems /name=", LotAddress, " - ", FileType)

Okay, so you are using the copy web service. Thanks - I'm wondering if that has something to do with the delete command failing. We'll see if we can repro.

Well, we can't seem to reproduce this!

I'm wondering why you chose to use the web service option - I'm thinking this is some kind of credentials issue?

To be honest, I can't remember why I used it (it was a month or so ago that I created the form). If I recall correctly it was the only way I could get the command to work.
