Error trying to open Qdabra InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool Form

HELP! I have installed the Trial version of qRules. I have followed all directions for installation properly.

However,  I go to open the Mapping Tool for the Sharepoint list (or the Qdabra InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool) and the form will not open saying:

"Infopath cannot open a new form.

The form template is trying to access files and settings on your computer. InfoPath cannot grant access to these files and settings because the form template is not fully trusted. For a form to run with full trust, it must be installed or digitally signed with a certificate."

I have changed my internet option settings, and it still will not open.

I am so frustrated already and I haven't even begun to use this for a client of mine. I am hoping this will be the answer for some of my clients, of which I will completely buy this product for each of them or myself, the full blown version. But if I can't even get it to run....then forget it.

Please help. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi -

The user guide will help you with this. You need to install the form first.

From the Start menu, under Qdabra / Tools / qRules there is a shortcut to an install script for the forms.

It is called "Install Forms". If you get an access denied error, please check page 3 of the user guide for details on how to run from the command line.

Hi Thank you for your response!

But I installed this and then I got another error:

"InfoPath cannot build the Visual Basic or C# code.

Adding Visual Basic or C# code to a form requires MS Visual Studio Tools for Applications (VSTA). To enable this feature:
Run Microsoft Office Setup (Go to Control Panel/Programs/Change MS Office)
    InfoPath
Change the MS Visual Studio Tools for Applications option, right click and Run from my computer.
The MS .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed before installing VSTA."

    So, I installed this.

Then tried to open the form again. Same original error.

How odd. Can you reply with some screenshots (attach under the options tab) - I'd like to see if the form is actually installed. I think you are saying you are getting this error when trying to open the mapping form. If I've misunderstood, please let me know.

Open InfoPath Filler, and under File / New, you should see Installed Forms. In that section, you should see the Qdabra InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool form - do you? And you then get this error on trying to open the form? I ask because it seems unlikely to me that IP would be trying to actually build the code when you open the form.

Yes, it is when I try and open the mapping tool or the Qdabra InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool Form, depending on how I get there, through the Start Menu or drilling down into the program file folder.

I have even gone into the form using InfoPath designer and setting the form security to Full Trust. Saved it and it is still giving me the error.

So, the issue is you can't use the form until it is installed, and you can't install it.

I've never seen that error before when trying to run the install.js. What happens if you right click the Install.js file and select Open, or Open with Command Prompt?

You should be also able to just use the form in Preview - right click the template in the forms folder and select Design. Then you can preview - it will fuss at you about not being able to find it's code files, but you can click "Ignore".

What version of Windows are you running?

I do not see an option for open with command prompt. I have tried to use the form in preview as well, but it still gives me the same error.

This is what I get when I open with Designer / Preview:

I am working from our terminal server. I have not tried from my local computer. I will try that now.

Click Ignore on the prompt for finding the code file.

Okay, I just did it on my local computer. It must be something with the terminal server.

I was able to open the Mapping Tool successfully with no errors.

I try and use our terminal server, but when I work with this I will have to remote onto my local computer in my office when I am away.

If you still have any ideas on why it did not work on the server, I am all ears.

But thank you so much for your time!

I'm assuming something is missing there that is required for a .js file to run.
