    Need help in workflow permission.

Hi all, I have situation like: I have developed infopath forms which i published to sharepoint form library. And i have developed sharepoint designer list workflow for that library in sharepoint 2010: Using the workflow action sending the mail to the approver(i have hardcoded the email address of the approver) and in the workflow email body section i have set the form opening link. My question is when the approver gets the email he only will be able to open form opening link if the approver forward that email to other person he will not be able to open the link. How can I achieve this thru sharepoint designer list workflow. Your help is highly appreciated.

    Hi Rahul,

I think the permission should happen not in the workflow but in the form itself. For example, you can create a check point in your form to verify the current user role. Then, base on that role, you can show/hide or enable/disable fields. For example, if the user is not an approver - you can redirect the user to a view that shows something like "You are not an approver for this form." and then hide/disable all fields.

    Hope that helps.

Hi Jo-Anne, Thanks for your reply, In this i have few query: To achieve the above what i did is: Created Custom List in sharepoint with approver field Name and entered the approver name in the custom list. Then from infopath created List Data Connection, created one text field say txtApproverName, I have stored the list ApproverName in this field, then in form load rules: I have given condition like: if txtApproverName=username() then it will go approvername if doesnt match the above condition it will go "You are not approval of this form view" this will work perfectly if the approver field contain only one approver name, if the approver field has more than one approver name, then this will not work bcoz txtApprover con hold only one value(because its text field), so for multiple value for same field i am thinking of storing this in repeating table like: inside repeating table i will create one field txtRepeatingTableApproverName, here i will put the list data connection ApproverName, i think then all the approverName from list under the txtRepeatingTableApproverName field will be appeared....then if i give the below condition like in form load rules: if txtRepeatingTableApproverName=username() will it search all the value from txtRepeatingTableApproverName field(inside repeating table) or it will take the first value from txtRepeatingTableApproverName field?? Please help me is this correct or how can i do the same in betterway or how can i search all the value for particular field in inside repeating table.
