Using InfoPath 2010 I have a repeating table where the first field is a drop-down list containing Product Codes linked from a SharePoint table. When you select an Product Code from the drop-down list a rule then populates the second field in the repeating table with its corresponding Product Description. This works fine until you "Insert" the 5th line in the repeating table when strangely the second field (Product Description) is a duplicate of the previous second field and this is then true of all subsequent lines.

That does sound strange!  How are you pulling in the data for the description?  Is it being stored in a SP list that you are retrieving using a data connection?

I have a SP custom table that was the Product Codes and Descriptions. When you select the drop-down list for the Product Code it then initiates a rule that populates the Description field  using the "Set a field's value" by using a "Filre Data" where Product Description (Secondary) (Product Code(secondary) = Product Code (Main)) - obviously in the 'real code' it does not have (Secondary) and (Main), I have just included for explaination.

This seems to work in the repeating table, however, when you 'Insert' more than 4 rows all subsequent Product Descriptions take on the value of the 4th Product Description.

Fixed the issue by changing the Product Description from a text box to a drop-down list box and then disabled this via a rule.
