I have a a dropdown  that query results displayed in several rows - at the end of each row i have a details button / I would like my details button to return the corrrect ID at the top of the page insted of scrolling down to find it

 

how can i click on the results row details page and it returns that rows details i.e. returns the correct ID at the top of the details page?

Is the ID one of the fields in the repeating data?  If so, they you can create a button in the repeating control which has an action rule that sets a field that is bound to a control at the top of the form to the ID.  This should take the ID of the current repeating item and set that to the field at the top of your form.  Hope that makes sense.

 yes its repeating data the button should return the id what is the action?

Take a look at the sample xsn I attached.  Enter different data on each row of the repeating table then click on the button on the right.  It will set the value of the text box up top to the value of given row.  Is this what you are looking for?

Yes this is what I'm looking for - but I have a number of (text boxes) in a row that needs to be displayed as a repeating table on a different page ie switch view.

when the user clicks the details button >> the correct repeating table is displayed were the user can enter additional details!

any ideas ?
